In anticipation of the Messiah

We have reached the end of this year, and with the help of the Lord, we had the opportunity to organize another event where we could build relationships, get to know each other better, and most importantly, talk about our Savior.

Tonight, we were delighted to have among us young people who came for the first time and confessed that they are leaving home with hearts full of joy, expressing their desire to return to future events. After enjoying good tea and hot chocolate with marshmallows and getting to know each other a little better, we joined our voices and sang carols together that presented the birth of the Lord Jesus and the joy of knowing the long-awaited One by people.

Organizing the event just before Christmas, we thought about this advent period and what it means to us. Lucian's presentation took us back in time, reminding us how those in ancient times prepared for the coming of the Anointed One of God. It brought us to the present, challenging us to think about how we anticipate the return of the Messiah and make our loved ones and others aware that Jesus came for them and will return soon. We were encouraged to see how Simeon and Anna, Mary and the Magi, eagerly awaited the Anointed One of God with joy and hope, believing in the fulfillment of the Scriptures. At the end of the message, we were certain that everyone in the room had at least one thing in common: the desire to share the good news with others, motivating us for the coming year.

We ended the evening by singing some carols and, with a playful spirit, organized a raffle with prizes to remind us of the last evening spent at Ethos Impact in 2023.
